- No calculator and no dictionary, as schools tell their applicants
What you see when the clock stops
Sample report · Wonderlic practice test
A sample result: 24 of 50 correct, 32 questions reached before the clock stopped, 5 questions that should have been skipped.
A sample report from a made-up run of this free test, scored by the same code as yours. Yours appears the moment the clock stops.
Your score and where it stands
Correct answers, questions reached, and a percentile estimated from historical averages, labeled as an estimate because Wonderlic publishes no current norms.
What you should have skipped
Every question that held you past the pace and earned no point, with the seconds it cost and the points that time was worth.
Your weak types, by name
Right, wrong and seconds for each question type, so tonight's practice goes where the points are.

The Wonderlic SLE: what the publisher and schools say
| Format | Standard version: 50 questions in 12 minutes. The remote "quicktest" (SLE-Q): 30 questions in 8 minutes.Source: Wonderlic SLE page |
|---|---|
| Who uses it | Colleges and career schools, to judge whether an applicant can handle the program. Wonderlic describes it as a cognitive ability test, given in person or remotely, online or on paper.Source: Wonderlic SLE page |
| Kinds of questions | Wonderlic's SLE sample sheet shows logic statements (answered true, false or "not certain"), word problems (prices, rates, ages, shares), checking pairs of names for exact copies, word pairs (similar, contradictory or neither), the smallest of several numbers, and one general-knowledge question.Source: Wonderlic SLE sample questions (PDF, on Pima Medical Institute's site) |
| One school's rules | Pima Medical Institute: 50 questions in exactly 12 minutes for campus programs, 30 questions in 8 minutes for online programs, no calculator, dictionary or other resources.Source: Pima Medical Institute, Wonderlic preparation |
| Passing score | There is no single pass mark: each school sets a minimum, often one per program. Fortis College Scranton, for example, requires a score of 11 for dental assisting, HVAC/R and medical assisting, 19 for practical nursing and 22 for dental hygiene.Source: Fortis College Scranton, admission requirements (2026-2027 catalog) |
| Retakes | Also the school's rule. The same Fortis catalog allows a second try on another version right away and a third after at least seven days.Source: Fortis College Scranton, admission requirements (2026-2027 catalog) |
| How our tests match | Our Wonderlic-format tests cover the kinds of questions on the SLE sample sheet, except general knowledge (such as naming a month), which we leave out, and add a few figure questions, as Wonderlic's hiring-test samples have. Same 50 questions on a 12-minute clock; the paid plans add two 30-question, 8-minute tests in the SLE-Q format. |

Questions about the Wonderlic
Is this the real Wonderlic SLE?
No. It is a practice test written by us in the Wonderlic format, which the SLE shares: 50 questions, 12 minutes, the same kinds of questions. Wonderlic, Inc. does not publish its questions and we are not affiliated with it.
What score do I need on the Wonderlic SLE?
Ask your school: each one sets its own minimum, often per program. As one public example, Fortis College Scranton requires a score of 11 for its dental assisting, HVAC/R and medical assisting diplomas, 19 for practical nursing and 22 for dental hygiene.
Is the SLE the same as the Wonderlic hiring test?
Same length, same clock and the same kinds of questions, going by Wonderlic's own sample sheets. The SLE is used by schools for admission; the hiring test by employers. That is why one set of Wonderlic-format practice tests serves both, and why what you buy here is our Wonderlic practice.
What is the SLE-Q?
The version for remote applicants: 30 questions in 8 minutes (Wonderlic calls it the "quicktest"). The paid plans include two 30-question, 8-minute tests, and both plans include the 50-question tests.
Can I use a calculator on the Wonderlic SLE?
No. Schools such as Pima Medical Institute tell applicants that no calculator, dictionary or other resource is allowed. Practice with scratch paper.
About the paid plans
What is the difference between $29 and $49?
$29 opens the Wonderlic: seven more full timed tests (five of 50 questions and two of 30 questions, eight with the free one), an explanation for every question, the full result report after each test, the mistake notebook and a cheat sheet. $49 adds the trainer: drills by question type, a weak-spot drill after each test, the pace trainer, a plan to your test date, and the four general cognitive tests.
How fast do I get access?
The moment the payment goes through. The next page has the button to your dashboard, and we email you a link to sign in from any other device. There is no password: on another device you enter your email and we send a 6-digit code.
Is it a subscription? How long do I keep access?
No subscription. You pay once and keep access for 12 months. Nothing renews and there is nothing to cancel.
Can I get my money back?
Yes. Write to support@timedprep.com within 14 days of purchase and we refund the full price, no reason needed, as long as you have started no more than one paid test and answered no more than 30 trainer questions. If something is broken on our side, tell us at any time: we fix it, or refund you in full if we cannot.
Is the payment secure? Who charges my card?
Yes. Paddle, our payment partner and merchant of record, processes the payment, so we never see your card number. The charge appears on your statement as PADDLE.NET*TESTPREP.
